POSITION: FACILITY CUSTODIAN
REPORTS TO: CHIEF ENGINEER

GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for the general maintenance and clean up of physical facility. Independently performs work of a recurring and regular nature in accordance with established and well-known policies, procedures, and practices. Progress of work is checked and instruction is provided on accomplishing work involving unusual problems or the use of unfamiliar equipment when required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wet and dry mops floors. Vacuums, strips, waxes and buffs floors; operates power-cleaning equipment, mechanical cleaners and polishers and mixes cleaning agents as directed
- Vacuums, spot-cleans and shampoos carpets; empties and cleans waste receptacles; dusts, waxes, washes and polishes furniture, counters, woodwork, and metalwork
- Cleans and washes windows, walls, windowsills and screens as assigned. Cleans restrooms and replenishes supplies
- Cleans and polishes hardware such as doors, woodwork, door handles, push plates, kick plates, and metal handrails
- Removes and cleans floor mats and entrance rug runners
- Removes trash and trash and recycling containers from building to designated disposal areas and cleans area after trash has been picked up
- Maintains service rooms and storage areas in a clean orderly manner
- Sweeps sidewalk and performs grounds maintenance duties such as watering lawns, plants, and/or other duties as required
- Responsible for snow removal from entryways, walkways and exterior foot traffic areas outside of snow removal service’s responsibilities
- Moves and arranges furniture and equipment as required. Sets up chairs and tables for meetings as required. Turns out lights and locks doors and windows upon completion of job duties as directed
- Replacing of filters and such where needed
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Observes and reports to supervisor repairs required and safety and fire hazards beyond the scope of this classification. Checks fire extinguishers on a scheduled basis. Makes minor, non-technical repairs such as replacing fluorescent lights, ballasts, and light bulbs
- Accomplishes minor carpentry work, wiring and plumbing tasks. Checks electrical, air-conditioning, and lighting system on a daily basis. Corrects any malfunctions or reports it to supervisor
- Performs basic maintenance repairs on building, such as painting
- Attends meetings as required
- Orders and maintains inventory of custodial supplies, cleaning equipment and materials as directed
- Receive shipments of custodial and facility supplies
- General repair of HVAC systems, garage door openers, plumbing, and other
- Assist personnel with building of shelves, moving, etc.
- Maintains a lost and found box
POSITION: BROADCAST ENGINEER - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
REPORTS TO: SVP OPERATIONS AND ENGINEERING & CHIEF ENGINEER

MINIMUM POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates the 24/7/365 operations and maintenance of ANOCBIT related systems including IT network: cabling, connectors, patch-bays, switches, firewalls, circuits, storage, data back-up, file structures, servers, computers, and their connections and interactions with Broadcast, Production, Transmission and Web-based systems, etc.
- Plans, documents and implements additions, deletions, major modifications as well as emergency response to the ANOCBIT infrastructure in direct coordination with Altitude Engineering and KSE IT to include, but not limited to: red lines current and new AutoCAD drawings and Excel docs, writes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and performs cross-training with engineering, etc.
- Plans and provides regularly scheduled ANOCBIT systems preventative maintenance including logging and record keeping; performs daily system health checks.
- Oversees the implementation of ANOC network security between the Broadcast and Corporate Business IT systems.
- Develops IT strategies, practices and procedures in support of the Altitude’s mission and core objectives as related to ANOCBIT and company business IT workflows and infrastructures.
- Coordinates the preparation and implementation of policies, procedures and standards relating to ANOCBIT workflows and systems; enforces company IT and ANOCBIT policies and procedures.
- Manages multiple IT disciplines, i.e. software development, technical support, systems architecture, systems documentation, etc.
- Researches and evaluates new IT technologies which may include attending workshops, conferences, expos, seminars to keep up to date with broadcast and IT issues.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Solid background in television broadcast: operations, engineering and information technologies.
- Theoretical and operational understanding of current broadcast and IT industry standards and practices as related to studio and remote production, multi-channel origination, transmission systems, file-based workflows and maintenance.
- Strong operating system background in Microsoft, Macintosh, Linux and Unix.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Technical writing skills for documentation and SOPs for future reference and distribution to engineering.
- Ability to work and maintain professional communications under pressure in dynamic production and broadcast environments.
- Ability to work closely with other persons and departments and accept or hand-off information, projects or tasking as required.
- Ability to consistently meet and or exceed performance and intrapersonal/corporate communications expectations, as well as established milestones and deadlines.
- Flexible schedule: days, weekends and night hours may be required.
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technologies, Communications, Broadcasting, or related field is preferred. Cisco Nortel Class A Switch certification or equivalent technical training is required.
- 5+ years of experience in IT and/or broadcast operations and engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

We are the regional broadcast network home of the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Mammoth, Colorado Rapids, collegiate games, high-school events, as well as entertainment and community programming. We strive to provide internships that are rewarding both academically and professionally.
Our internships are offered in a variety of areas throughout our organization, including Production, Operations, Advertising Sales, Affiliate Sales and Broadcast Services. Depending on the nature of the position, the internships vary in length and time of year.
All of our internships are paid. However, you can still receive academic credit for the experience as well.
